Face Coverings
As recommended by the CDC, covering your nose and mouth while on our bus helps protect your fellow passengers and our driver. Those who are not vaccinated should wear a face covering while on-board a vehicle. We are all in this together, so let’s each do our part to keep our community safe.
Social Distancing
We are asking all employees to practice social distancing when around our customers. To continue to minimize unnecessary contact between passengers, we have recommended guidelines for capacities on our buses. Our dedicated Account Managers will assist you through this process to ensure that your vehicle selection will accommodate your group size.
Enhanced Cleaning and Sanitizing Measures
All of our vehicles are thoroughly sanitized prior to leaving our terminal location. There is a non-toxic COVID-19 approved disinfecting spray located in each bus. Our drivers are encouraged to use this spray throughout the day to wipe-down high touch surfaces. Schmitty & Sons uses EPA certified cleaners and disinfectants effective on COVID-19 and other viruses and bacteria.
Hand Sanitizer
Basic infection prevention measures are always being implemented at our workplaces. Employees are instructed to wash their hands frequently throughout the day, but especially at the beginning and end of their shift, prior to any mealtimes and after using the toilet. All dispatch check-ins and buses are equipped with hand-sanitizer dispensers.
Cover Your Cough or Sneeze
All drivers and passengers are asked to please cover your mouth and nose with their sleeve or a tissue when coughing or sneezing and to avoid touching their face, in particular their mouth, nose and eyes, with their hands. Lined trashcans are installed in the vehicles to discard used gloves, tissues and other trash.
